Paricharchā arrives in the world as an artefact of limited circulation rather than a mass commodity, each issue produced in a finite print run and bound for readers who regard the publication as an object worth keeping. This policy sets out the terms under which returns, exchanges, and refunds apply to purchases made through paricharcha.com, whether print, digital, or the combined Print and Digital tier.
Nature of the Purchase
Every copy of Paricharchā, once printed, forms part of a limited edition; the numbering of Volume 1, Issue 01 under RNI registration ORENG/26/A6578 reflects a run that is fixed at the point of production. Buyers are asked to regard each purchase with this in mind, since replenishment of a sold-out issue carries no guarantee.
Eligibility for Return
A print copy qualifies for return or exchange when the item arrives damaged in transit, is misprinted, or differs from the edition ordered. Claims of this kind are honoured when raised within seven days of delivery, accompanied by a photograph of the copy received and the order reference number, sent to the publication's contact address listed on the website.
Copies returned for reasons of personal preference, such as a change of mind after purchase, fall outside the scope of this policy, given the limited nature of each print run and the finite inventory it represents.
Digital and Subscription Purchases
Digital access, once granted, is treated as delivered and stands outside the return process described above. Should a technical fault prevent access to a purchased digital edition, a request for resolution or credit may be raised with the support team, who will attend to the matter within a reasonable interval.
For the Print and Digital combined tier and for annual subscriptions, cancellation before dispatch of the first print issue entitles the subscriber to a full refund of the unfulfilled portion; once an issue has been dispatched, the return terms for print copies above apply to that instalment alone.
The Founding 500 Patronage
Contributions made under the Founding 500 Patronage programme constitute a form of support for the publication's continuing work rather than a conventional purchase, and are accordingly treated as non-refundable once processed, save in the case of a duplicate or erroneous charge, which the finance team will correct upon notice.
Procedure
A request for return, exchange, or refund is to be addressed to the publication's official contact channel, with the order number, the nature of the concern, and, where relevant, photographic evidence of the copy in question. A response follows within a reasonable number of business days, and, where eligible, a replacement copy or refund is issued to the original mode of payment.
Refund Timelines
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method through PayU, and the amount reflects in the buyer's account within the interval customary to the banking institution concerned, typically a matter of days rather than weeks.
